Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How accurate is Dexcom ONE+ compared to a blood glucose meter (BGM)?
You may notice slight differences between your Dexcom ONE+ and BGM readings but that’s okay, both can be accurate. While both devices measure your glucose readings, they do so at different stages – glucose enters the bloodstream where a BGM measures from, it is then transported into the interstitial fluid, where your Dexcom ONE+ measures from. And because your glucose levels are constantly changing, Dexcom ONE+ continually monitors your levels 24/7 in and can alert you if you are going high or low, whereas a BGM only offers you a snapshot in time.
