Share is not available on smartwatches. Your smartwatch can’t send information to followers. The primary user must use their Dexcom G7 phone app to use Share and Follow.

What are the recommended Dexcom G7 Android smartphone settings?

Yes. Dexcom G7 can display glucose on multiple devices including your phone, smartwatch, and Dexcom receiver or connected AID (Automated Insulin Delivery) system simultaneously and independent of each other.

If I use Direct to Watch, can I still connect to my AID system?

No, Direct to Watch is not available on Dexcom G6. As we continue to build out Dexcom G7’s connected partner ecosystem we encourage everyone to upgrade to Dexcom G7.

Is Direct to Watch available with the Dexcom G6 CGM System?

Once inserted, the sensor is waterproof up to 2.4 meters. 

Can I get Dexcom G7 wet?

No. Dexcom G6 sensors, transmitters, and receivers are not compatible with the Dexcom G7 CGM System.

Can I use Dexcom G6 components with my Dexcom G7 CGM System?

Some people may be sensitive to the sensor adhesive, so extra care can help. Follow the insertion instructions carefully, review the site preparation tips and consider these points:

To set up Dexcom G7 Direct to Watch, you must have an iPhone* that is running iOS 17 or later and an Apple Watch Series 6 or later running watchOS10.

Do I need an iPhone to pair directly with my Apple Watch?

To use Direct to Watch, you must have the following:  Apple Watch 6 or later, running watchOS 10 or later; iPhone running iOS 17;  Must have Dexcom G7 App version 2.1 or later.

Are there any changes to alerts for Dexcom G7 compared to Dexcom G6?

Yes, Dexcom G7 is indicated for children as young as 2 years old.

Is the Dexcom G7 CGM System indicated for paediatric patients?

Dexcom Share is a feature within the G6 app that allows for remote monitoring. One person, (the Sharer) may share their CGM data with another person (the Follower). To setup Share simply press the Share icon in the app and follow the onscreen instructions. *Requires separate Follow App and internet connectivity.

How do I share my G6 glucose data with followers?

Without your sensor code, you�ll need to calibrate twice after your 2-hour sensor warmup is complete, a third time 12 hours later, a fourth time 12 hours after that, and then once every 24 hours.

I lost my sensor code. What do I do? 

A new Dexcom patient will receive the Dexcom G6 system including a�transmitter and sensors. An optional touch screen receiver is available as well. If you decide to use a compatible smart device*, you will need to download the new Dexcom G6 app. * To view the latest supported devices, visit http://www.dexcom.com/compatibility

What components are required with the new G6 system? 

The Dexcom G6 is Dexcom�s latest generation continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system. Unlike previous generations, this CGM system is factory-calibrated�so zero fingersticks are required.

What is the Dexcom G6?

Yes, the Follow App works the same way as it did with the Dexcom G5 Mobile. New followers - Download the Dexcom Follow app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Existing followers - The Dexcom Follow app is the same so there is no need to download it again if it�s already installed. However, Followers must be re-invited by the Sharer in the G6 app to start following again.

Does the Follow App work with G6? 

With the Dexcom G6 app version 1.9 and later, you can ask Siri to recite your Dexcom glucose readings out loud and display your graph directly on the lock screen.

How do I set up Siri on the G6 app? 

I am an existing customer. Can I upgrade to Dexcom G6? 

Yes, you�ll need to put in the sensor code from the sensor each time you start a new one. The sensor code is found on the bottom of the applicator on the adhesive strip.

Do I have to put the sensor code in every time I start a new sensor?

Time in Range is the percentage of time that glucose levels are in low, target and high ranges. Dexcom Clarity displays time in range from both daytime and nighttime ranges. Each Dexcom CGM reading is compared against the custom glucose target range and assigned a category of High, In Range, Low, or Urgent Low. Readings are tallied, then percentages for each category are calculated.

How are ranges defined for Time in Range?

In Dexcom Clarity, use the Settings page to customize data display and sharing. Changes only apply to Dexcom Clarity and do not change any settings on your Dexcom CGM system. Changes made in Settings by a healthcare professional during a clinic session only apply during the session.

How can I customize Dexcom clarity?

There are several reasons you may not receive expected notifications. In your Follow app: Check your Sharer&#x27;s glucose notifications.

Why am I not getting glucose notifications?

We understand you may be concerned about granting this permission, but Dexcom does not use this permission to track your location. � 

Why does the G6 Android app ask for Location Permission?

What smart devices are compatible with the G6?

Daily statistics are calculated values for the individual day of the week over the date range selected.

How are the Daily and Hourly Statistics calculated?

The �Urgent Low Soon� alert is a new alert that can warn users in advance (within 20 minutes) of a severe hypoglycemic event (55 mg/dL or 3.1 mmol/L) � allowing them time to take appropriate action before an event happens. The �Alert Schedule� allows users to customize a second group of alerts. A common use case would be users who want to set different alert schedule for day time vs night time.

Are there any changes with alarms and alerts? 

No. The new Dexcom G6 CGM system is designed to eliminate the need for fingerstick calibrations* and can be used for 10 days without restart. *If your glucose alerts and readings from the G6 do not match symptoms or expectations, use a blood glucose meter to make diabetes treatment decisions.

Can the sensor be restarted after 10 days?

Yes, you can choose which glucose notifications you receive for each Sharer. 

Can I customize notification settings?

We are always adding (and in this case removing) new phones to/from our compatibility list. Please check the website for the most up-to-date list of compatible phones. www.dexcom.com/compatibility

Are there any devices that are compatible with G5 that are not compatible with G6?

A G6 transmitter lasts for three months (same as G5 Mobile).

How long does the Dexcom G6 transmitter last?

All data uploaded to Dexcom Clarity will remain accessible as long as the product is available for use. When logging in to Dexcom Clarity for the first time, there will be limited data depending on when the account was created. Going forward, data will continue to build as it is uploaded to Dexcom Clarity.

How far back can I access my data in Dexcom Clarity?

If you upload your receiver to the Clarity home user account, you can share your home user account data with your health care provider. Your clinic will need to give you a sharing invitation via email or printed invitation to initiate sharing. 

How can I share my data using a Dexcom Receiver?

Yes. If you currently use the Dexcom G5 Mobile Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System and have downloaded the Dexcom G5 Mobile app, then you have already created a Dexcom account and should use this to log in to Clarity - please do not create a new one.

Do I need a Dexcom account to access Dexcom clarity?

Any event that is entered into your CGM will show up on Dexcom Clarity graphs when your data is updated from your Dexcom G5 Mobile CGM System or you upload your receiver to Clarity. 

Will events entered into my CGM receiver show up in Dexcom clarity?

Go to https://clarity.dexcom.eu from an internet browser with internet connection. Review Clarity�s list of computer and internet requirements if needed.

How do I get to Dexcom Clarity?

A broadband network connection of 1.5 Mbps or more is required to install the software from the web, upload data or view the online User Guide.� 

What are the computer and software requirements for Dexcom clarity? 

Clinics can easily send email invitations to patients. All you have to do is accept the email invitation by entering the code provided in the invite from your physician or clinic. Then you will be linked to your physician�s office.

How can I share information with my doctor? 

If you use a receiver, you log in to Clarity from a computer, connect your receiver, then follow Clarity�s Upload Instructions. The data stored on your receiver will appear instantly. Dexcom receivers store about 30 days of CGM readings with 120 Calibrations. It is important to upload Dexcom receiver data to Clarity at least every 30 days to ensure data is not lost.

How does Dexcom Clarity get my data?

For every release, a notification banner is posted at the top of the Dexcom Clarity on the day of the release. Follow the banner&#x27;s link to read the release notes. If the Uploader software is updated, the notification banner posts 2 weeks before the release.

How do I know when Dexcom clarity has been updated?

When the low utilization filter is applied, days with less than 50% CGM data capture will display.

What is a low utilization day?

At this time, there is no mechanism to import the data from Dexcom STUDIO into Dexcom Clarity. Data stored in Dexcom STUDIO will continue to be viewable within Dexcom STUDIO.

How do I access past data from Dexcom STUDIO?

Why do I see &quot;username or password are incorrect&quot; when I try to log into the Dexcom clarity app on my smartphone?

The Ambulatory Glucose Profile (AGP) is a licensed, standardized glucose report created by the International Diabetes Center (IDC). AGP provides a big picture view of your diabetes management and is only one part of understanding your glucose patterns.

What is the AGP Report?

Who should I contact if I have questions regarding Dexcom Clarity?

Under the Devices section of Dexcom Claritys Overview page you will find the alert settings and last upload for the device. These settings are for your reference and are separate from Dexcom Clarity settings.

Does Dexcom Clarity have information about my receiver or smart device?

It is possible to use both a smart device and a receiver to provide CGM data.

What should I do if Follow says notifications are off?

Yes, the Dexcom Follow app works the same way as it did with the Dexcom G6 app on compatible smart devices.

Does the Dexcom Follow app work with Dexcom G7?
