Do I have to turn on my G7 Critical Alerts if i have an iOS device?
If using an Apple smart device, you’ll need to enable Critical Alerts during the app onboarding process in order to use the Dexcom G7 app. Critical Alerts should always play a sound and appear on your lock screen when your smartphone notifications are off, muted, or on Do Not Disturb. Critical Alerts include Urgent Low and Sensor Fail.
If you turn off your Critical Alerts, you will be blocked from using the Dexcom G7 app until you turn them back on.
How to turn Critical Alerts back on:
- Go to your smart device’s Settings
- Tap Dexcom G7
- Tap Notifications
- Toggle Critical Alerts to turn them on
