Where can I insert my Dexcom G7 sensor?
Dexcom G7 sensors may be inserted on the back of the upper arm (indicated for users ages 2 years and older) or the upper buttocks (ages 2-6 years old). Our research shows that back of the upper arm wear results in optimal performance1†. Sensor placement is important, and you should change your insertion site with each sensor. Using the same site too often might not allow the skin to heal, causing scarring or skin irritation. Be sure to use the overpatch included with your G7 sensor; this will help ensure your sensor will remain in place for the duration of the wear session.
As a reminder, read product instructions before you use your Dexcom G7 CGM System.

• Follow the insertion instructions carefully. Extra care may help you keep your sensor on for the entire sensor session. The potential magnitude of reduced sensor life throughout the 10 days is provided in the G7 User Guide (refer to Section E, titled Technical Information, Sensor life).
