How do I create an account using my email address?
To create a Dexcom account, we have to verify your identity. This is a safety measure that helps protect your personal information.
Before May 2023, Dexcom sent verification codes via email only. Now, new Dexcom G7 users can choose to create an account using a mobile number or email address.
If you sign up with your email, your email becomes your Dexcom user ID. You’ll use it to log in to all Dexcom apps and services.

Does signing up with my email affect how I log in?
Yes. If you sign up with your email, it becomes your Dexcom user ID. You’ll use it to log in to all Dexcom apps and services.

Can all Dexcom users log in with their email?
No. You can’t log in with your email unless you used it to create and verify your Dexcom account. You can log in with your email if all the following are true:
- You are above legal age.
- You created your Dexcom account after August 2021.
- You verified your account with a code sent to your email.
