How do I log into my Dexcom account?
The login screen is asking for my user ID. What does that mean?
Your user ID is the name or number you use to log in to all Dexcom apps and services. Depending on your age and when you created your account, your user ID may be:
- a username you chose
- your email
- your mobile number

Your user ID is a username if: 1. You are below legal age, OR 2. You created your account before August 2021 (any age). | Your user ID is your email if: 1. You created your Dexcom account after August 2021. AND 2. You are above legal age. AND 3. You verified your Dexcom account with a code sent via email. | Your user ID is your mobile number if: 1. You created a new Dexcom account after May 2023. AND 2. You are above legal age. AND 3. You verified your account via a text message to your mobile number. |
Does signing up with my mobile number affect how I log in?
Yes. If you sign up with your mobile number, it becomes your Dexcom user ID. You’ll use it to log in to all Dexcom apps and services.

Can all Dexcom users log in with their mobile number?
No. You can’t log in with your mobile number unless you used it to create and verify your Dexcom account. You can log in with your mobile number if all the following are true:
- You are above legal age.
- You created a new Dexcom account after May 2023.
- You verified your account with a text message sent to your mobile number.
I’m a current Dexcom user transitioning to a different Dexcom CGM system. Can I update my user ID and log in with my mobile number?
No. The unique user ID you created when you set up your account is linked to all your glucose information. It can’t be changed.
Does signing up with my email affect how I log in?
Yes. If you sign up with your email, it becomes your Dexcom user ID. You’ll use it to log in to all Dexcom apps and services.
