How do I replace my Dexcom G6 transmitter?

You will receive transmitter end of battery life alerts on your display device. You should use the transmitter until you receive the message to pair a new transmitter.
You will get a notification when a Dexcom G6 transmitter battery has died or the system detects a problem. When replacing your Dexcom G6 transmitter, follow the prompts shown on your display device in order. Insert your sensor or transmitter when you are prompted to do so on the display device.
To pair your new transmitter after you receive the "Replace Sensor & Transmitter Now" or “Pair New Transmitter” notification, follow the instructions in the images and video below on how to pair a new transmitter and troubleshooting transmitter issues.
Pairing a new transmitter using your app
Pair Automatically: Wait until your session comes to an end and tap the “pair” button when prompted by your app.
Pair Manually:
You can manually stop your transmitter and sensor by going to Settings > Transmitter > Pair New. You will be prompted to stop your sensor if your current sensor session is still active.
Then follow the onscreen prompts to pair your new sensor and transmitter.

Pair Manually:
If you don’t see Pair new transmitter, you must select Stop Sensor first
Then follow the on-screen prompts to pair your new transmitter
