If I am replacing my compatible smart device, what will I need to do?

The Dexcom G7 sensor can only connect with one smart device at a time. If you get a new smartphone, for example, you need to:
  1. Copy the Dexcom G7 pairing code from your old smartphone's Dexcom G7 app under Connection > Sensor
  2. Go into your old smartphone’s Bluetooth settings
  3. Turn Bluetooth off
  4. Wait at least 15 minutes before connecting your new smartphone to your Dexcom G7 sensor. Once your new smartphone is connected, install the Dexcom G7 app.
  5. After it is installed, go into your new smartphone's Bluetooth settings
  6. Turn your Bluetooth off and on
  7. Wait 15 minutes
  8. Log into your Dexcom account and go through the app setup wizard
  9. Enter the Dexcom G7 pairing code when prompted. You can find the pairing code on the sensor applicator, or in your old smartphone’s Dexcom G7 app under Connection > Sensor.
