How can I change the alert settings on my watch?

Your watch will mirror the settings of your smartphone.*,† To change the alert settings on your watch you must:
  1. Bring your phone and smartwatch close to each other.
  2. Change your alert settings on your G7 phone app.
  3. Open and display the G7 app on your watch and phone at the same time for a few seconds. This lets the smartwatch copy the new settings.
Ensure you Mirror iPhone Alerts from the G7 phone app. Keep this feature on in the watch app on your phone. If you turn it off, you won't get alerts‡ on your watch in either Standard Smartwatch mode or in Direct to Watch mode.

†Compatible smartphone is required to pair a new Dexcom G7 sensor with an Apple Watch. Dexcom G7 users must continuously have their smartphone within 6 meters to utilize Share/Follow. Share/Follow is not available with Apple Watch by itself.
‡ If readings from the Dexcom G7 system do not match symptoms or expectations, use a blood glucose meter to make diabetes treatment decisions.
