Can I travel with my Dexcom G7?

Can I download the app while traveling?
Yes, you can download the app while traveling since the download is tied to your App Store or Google account's country settings, which don't change when you travel. 
However, if you have not previously used G7 you won't be able to proceed with Dexcom login and installation. You must install the app for the first time while in your country of residence.
If you are using G7 app v2.6 or later, you will be able to uninstall and reinstall the app if needed while traveling to a different country, as long as you log back in with the same account you have previously used.
Can I travel with my Dexcom G7?
Absolutely! You can take your Dexcom G7 with you when you travel.
Once you've installed the app initially, you're good to go! The location is only checked during the first installation, not during regular use.

  • If possible, carry some backup sensors in case you experience sensor failure
  • Travel with a blood glucose meter (BGM)
  • If you have a Dexcom receiver, it makes a great backup to your app. Bring it, its USB cable and charger If necessary, bring a power converter or adapter for the countries you’re visiting.
