Where can I insert my G6 sensor?
Where do you wear the Dexcom G6 CGM?
- At least 3 inches from any insulin pump infusion set or injection site
- Away from waistbands, scarring, tattoos, irritation, and bones
- Unlikely to be bumped, pushed, or laid on while sleeping
Dexcom G6 Insertion Sites
For children and adolescents ages 2-17 years: Insert the Dexcom G6 on the belly or upper buttocks
For adults ages 18 and older: Insert the Dexcom G6 on the belly or back of upper arms
Look for a place on the belly, back of upper arms, or upper buttocks where there might be some padding when inserting your Dexcom G6 CGM.
The sensor is not tested or approved for other sites. Talk to your Healthcare Professional about the best site for you. Please refer to the Using Your G6 guide for more information on inserting your sensor.
