How long does the Dexcom G6 transmitter last?
The transmitter battery is good for 3 months. We recommend that you have a new transmitter on hand within 3 months of starting your next transmitter.
Starting at 3 weeks before the end of its battery life, your chose display device will warn you that the transmitter battery life has only 10 days left. This means you have one more sensor session of battery life remaining before needing to use a new transmitter. If the transmitter battery has less than 10 days remaining, you won’t be able to start a new sensor session and will see “Pair New Transmitter” instead. If you haven’t received your final 10-day transmitter battery life warning, you can reuse your current transmitter for your next session.
Please refer to the Using Your G6 guide for transmitter warranty information.
