How do I customize Dexcom G6 alert settings?
When do you want to take action? Set your alert level at that number.
For example, if you don’t respond until your sensor reading is 65 mg/dL but your Low Alert is at 80 mg/dL, you’re getting alerts you don’t use. In that case, you’d adjust your Low Alert setting to 65 mg/dL so you only get an alert when it matters to you. Remember to always consult your healthcare provider before adjusting your high and low alert settings.

Set up a second alert profile with earlier alerts. In the app, go to Settings > Alerts > Alert Schedule

Consider setting up the receiver with your nighttime alert settings, and the app with your daytime ones so you can leave your phone out of your bedroom. That way, at night, you will only hear your Dexcom G6 alerts, not other notifications from your phone such as news alerts and emails. If you do that, be sure to remember that your receiver only has your night settings.
