What is medication logging?

Medication logging is the latest addition to the “add events” function in the History tab of the G7 App. In addition, events can also track insulin doses, meals, activity, and blood glucose (BG) meter values.
How do I log medications?
To log a medication in your G7 app.
  • Tap the + sign to add a new event from the glucose tab or the history tab
  • Choose Medications from the menu
  • Follow on screen instructions and fill out fields.
To edit or delete an event you logged:
  • Go to the History tab.
  • Select the event you want to edit or delete and follow the instructions on the screen.
What medications can I log in the Dexcom G7 App?
Dexcom’s database includes many common medications, including those used for the management of Diabetes like GLP-1's or metformin.
If the medication you want to log is not available, you can use a note to log instead.
Where can I see my past medications?
The G7 app will display 14 days of logged information in the history tab. To navigate to the history tab just tap the icon on the bottom navigation.
Can I or my doctor see my logged medications in Clarity?
Currently, no. This feature will be available in a subsequent Clarity update.

Can I use voice-to-text to log medications?
Yes! Tap the microphone in the search bar, then speak into the microphone. Choose the desired medication from the search results. You may need to give permission for G7 app to use your voice to text the first time you use this feature.
Can I use Medication logging in the Dexcom receiver?
No, medication logging is not available in the Dexcom receiver at this time.
