How do I know which Dexcom receiver I have?

The two Dexcom receivers have different hardware, which makes it easy to tell them apart.

The Dexcom G6 Touchscreen Receiver can not be upgraded to G7.

The New Dexcom G6 Receiver can be upgrade from G6 to G7.

Do I need to use my receiver with Dexcom G7 CGM?

You have the option to use only the Dexcom G7 app on a compatible smart device, * only the receiver, or both at the same time.

If you are having trouble pairing your G7 CGM receiver to your sensor, try pairing again but keep the sensor within 3 feet of the sensor.
