Can I travel with my Dexcom G7?
Absolutely! You can take your Dexcom G7 with you when you travel. Just remember not to uninstall and reinstall the app outside of your home country. The app has location checks built in that ensure you can only use features approved in your country.
Once you've installed the app initially, you're good to go! The location is only checked during the first installation, not during regular use.
However, if you reinstall the app while in a different country, you won't be able to use it until you return home.
How can I prevent any issues while traveling?
We understand that traveling requires careful planning, and we want to ensure your journey is as smooth as possible. In the unlikely event that you experience any issues, here are some tips to help you travel with confidence.
- If possible, carry some backup sensors in case you experience sensor failure
- Travel with a blood glucose meter (BGM)
- If you have a Dexcom receiver, it makes a great backup to your app. Bring it, its USB cable and charger If necessary, bring a power converter or adapter for the countries you’re visiting.
If you need a receiver, contact Dexcom or the Dexcom distributor in your country of residence.
