Manage your diabetes with the most accurate CGM system1
Accurate glucose numbers without fingersticks*
The Dexcom G7 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System sends accurate real-time glucose readings to your smartphone† 24/7 so you can make diabetes management decisions with confidence. One way CGM accuracy is measured is by MARD (mean absolute relative difference); the smaller the MARD number, the higher the accuracy. With a MARD of 8.2%, Dexcom G7 is the most accurate CGM system available.1 View below how Dexcom G7 CGM accuracy compares with other continuous glucose monitors.
Brand | Adult MARD | Pediatric MARD |
Dexcom G72 | 8.20% | 8.10% |
Senseonics Eversense E33 | 8.50% | N/A |

Better CGM accuracy = better decisions
The more accurate your CGM readings, the clearer the picture you get of what’s happening in your body. This is extremely important when you depend on readings to make diabetes management decisions. Dexcom G7 is accurate when your glucose is low or high, and when it’s changing quickly.2 This helps you make treatment decisions about food, activity, and medication when it’s most important.
BGM vs CGM readings
Have you ever wondered why your blood glucose meter (BGM) and CGM readings are not the exact same number? The main reason is because a BGM measures glucose in blood, while Dexcom G7 measures glucose in interstitial fluid (a fluid just below the surface of the skin). Watch the video or click the link below to learn why else your BGM and CGM readings may differ.
