In Standard Smartwatch mode, there is no direct connection between the Dexcom G7 sensor and the smartwatch, so users must keep their smartphone within 6 meters to receive glucose readings on their smartwatch.

How can I tell if I am in Direct to Watch Mode or Standard Smartwatch mode?

No. A cellular plan isn’t required to connect your Dexcom G7 sensor to your watch.

Do I need to have a cellular plan for my Apple Watch* to be able to use the Direct to Watch Feature?

Is Share available from my Watch when in Direct to Watch Mode?

Yes. Dexcom G7 can display glucose on multiple devices including your phone, smartwatch*, and Dexcom receiver or connected AID (Automated Insulin Delivery) system simultaneously and independent of each other.
