Can I create a Dexcom account using my mobile number?

This option is available only to new Dexcom customers who are using G7. If you create an account using your mobile phone number, we’ll send your verification code by text message. Your mobile number will become your Dexcom user ID. You’ll use it to log in to all Dexcom apps and services. 
If you created a Dexcom account before May 2023, you cannot create a new account using your mobile number. (Example: If you currently use Dexcom G6 and are switching to a different Dexcom CGM system, you can’t change your user ID from your email to a mobile number. That unique user ID you created to set up your account is linked to all your glucose information.)

  • Benefits of using your mobile number
    If you use your mobile number, you don’t have to leave the app to check your email for a verification code. This means you can start using your Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) more quickly. 
  • Will I get marketing or promotional text messages from Dexcom? 
    Dexcom sends account-related text messages only. We ask for your explicit consent before sending any marketing or promotional text messages.
  • Are all customers required to share their mobile number?  
    Outside the US, Dexcom asks for a mobile number ONLY if you choose to verify your account via text message. If you live outside the US and create your account using your email, you won’t be asked for a mobile number.  How do I create an account using my email?
