Why is my display device still "Searching for sensor" and not pairing?
Pairing usually takes less than 5 minutes. If it takes longer, use these troubleshooting tips. You can also go to the Help screen on your display device for more information.
How do I share my glucose data with the Apple Health app?
To share glucose data with Apple Health Tap on the Connections tab in the Dexcom G7 app Tap Apple Health Tap Activate to share Tap the Blood Glucose switch on the Health Access screen Tap Allow Apple Health does not get your glucose data right away, there is a 3-hour delay.
Why am I no longer receiving notifications or alerts from my app?
Your Dexcom app may be in Private Spaces (Android phones) or Hidden apps (Apple phones). While your Dexcom app is in these spaces you will not receive notifications.
What if I have issues with the Dexcom G7 while traveling?
If you encounter any issues with your Dexcom G7 while you're on the go, don't worry!
Using Your Dexcom CGM System
Removing your Dexcom G7 Sensor
After sensor session ends, peel off patch like a bandage. To make it easier, try these tips: Loosen edge and soak patch in body oil, like baby oil or an adhesive remover for skin (see product instructions before using). Use adhesive removal wipes for skin to rub the skin that gets exposed as you peel back the patch. Try different pulling techniques:
Does the Dexcom Follow app work with Dexcom G7?
Yes, the Dexcom Follow app works the same way as it did with the Dexcom G6 app on compatible smart devices.‡ Separate Dexcom Follow app required. Internet connectivity is required for data sharing. Followers should always confirm readings on the Dexcom G7 app or receiver before making treatment decisions. Followers must have compatible smart devices to use the Dexcom Follow app: dexcom.com/g7-compatibility

How long can I wear the Dexcom G7 sensor?
The Dexcom G7 sensor is indicated to be worn for up to 10 days, plus a 12-hour grace period at the end.

To add patient’s Post-Meal Glucose target: Once logged into Dexcom Clarity Clinic, select the Patient Name from the Clinic list
How do I get activity data into my Dexcom G7 App?
Your Dexcom G7 app can be connected to Apple Health or Google Health Connect to access data from the apps and devices you use to track your activity.
What is Activity Logging?
Activity logging is a way to get data from other activity tracking apps and devices into G7 through Apple Health / Health Connect.
How do I log my fasting glucose?
In the Dexcom G7 app, you can log your fasting glucose as an event. It can be recorded after not eating or drinking anything (except water) for up to 8 hours, when you wake up for instance.
Smartwatch and Accessories
What G7 features can I view on my Apple Watch when in Direct to Watch Mode?
You’ll see your current glucose reading, trend arrow, trend graph, and alerts. Tap the trend graph to see your sensor readings over the past 1, 3, or 6 hours.
When using Direct to Watch, will I get my numbers while I am swimming?
If you're in water, you may not get sensor readings until you get out.
Is Share available from my Watch when in Direct to Watch Mode?
Share is not available on smartwatches*. Your smartwatch can’t send information to followers. The primary user must use their Dexcom G7 phone app to use Share and Follow‡. Your phone must also be kept in Bluetooth range† of the sensor for the Share and Follow‡ feature to remain in use as well.
What is the orange phone icon on my Apple Watch Screen / When I'm using my watch for my CGM info, when do I need my phone close by?
When you see the orange phone icon beside your sensor reading, Direct to Watch mode is temporarily not working. Your smartwatch* isn’t getting information from the sensor. Instead, it's copying from your phone, so keep your phone nearby.
Managing your Dexcom Account
Can all Dexcom users log in with their email?
No. You can’t log in with your email unless you used it to create and verify your Dexcom account.
Does signing up with my email affect how I log in?
Yes. If you sign up with your email, it becomes your Dexcom user ID. You’ll use it to log in to all Dexcom apps and services.
How do I log in with my mobile number?
You can log in with your mobile number only if all the following are true

What smart devices are compatible with Dexcom G7?

Why am I being asked to update my smartphone's operating system (OS) to continue getting Dexcom G7 app updates?
Each year we assess whether to keep supporting older Operating Systems (OS) for Dexcom apps. When an OS you’re using is no longer supported for your Dexcom app, we will ask you to update your OS to continue getting app updates. Your current Dexcom app version will continue to work, but you won’t be able to get future app updates until you update your OS to the new required minimum OS.
Will updating my smart phone affect how I can use my Dexcom G7?
Before upgrading your smart phone or its operating system, check dexcom.com/g7-compatibility. Automatic Dexcom G7 app and/or Android smartphone operating system updates can change settings or shut down the Dexcom app, so always update your smart phone manually and verify the correct device settings afterward.
Are certain smartphones compatible with Dexcom G6 that are not compatible with Dexcom G7?
