Is Dexcom G6 available on the NHS?

Since April 2022, NHS England and NICE (The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) recommends that all people with type 1 diabetes are offered a glucose sensor, including real-time continuous glucose monitoring (rtCGM).1 For people with type 2 diabetes, the recommendation is that real-time CGM can be considered an alternative to intermittent scanning (isCGM).2
Dexcom has a range of CGM Systems tailored to the needs of people with diabetes, some of which are available on prescription or via other funding routes on the NHS.
To find out if you’re eligible to receive a Dexcom G6 CGM System on the NHS, talk to your healthcare professional. See our Access to CGM page to learn more about NHS funding for Dexcom.
