Introducing the Dexcom receiver

The Dexcom pocket-sized receiver§ can be used to monitor your glucose levels in the same way as our smartphone app.
The receiver§ offers an ideal solution if you don’t have acompatible smartphone. The receiver§ can also be used at the same time alongside the mobile app on your compatible phone+ for greater flexibility. It can be useful for those who want to limit smartphone usage – allowing you to turn off at night, at work or at school, or if you prefer to use a dedicated device§ to monitor yours, or your child’s, glucose levels.

Understanding glucose readings

1. Sensor Reading
The number you see is your glucose reading – up to 288 readings are sent to the receiver, every day.
2. Trend Arrow
This shows where your glucose is heading and how quickly.
3. High Glucose Alert level
Your High Alert level is only visible when switched on.
4. Glucose Readings (Trend) Graph
The white circle on the right represents your most current reading and the white dots represent your past readings.
5. Low Glucose Alert level
Your Low Alert level is only visible when switched on.

6. Battery life
Battery life is approximately 7 days and takes just 3 hours to charge.
7. Bluetooth icon
To stay connected, the receiver must remain within 6 meters of your Dexcom product.

Your customisable High and Low Glucose Alerts

Switching on the high and low alert can help you stay in your target range. The Dexcom receiver§ allows you to:
  • Activate and deactivate alerts to suit your lifestyle.
  • Personalise your high and low alert threshold.
  • Select the alert mode that works for you – choose between sound notifications or vibration.

Your glucose reports

The Dexcom receiver§ device can store 180 days' worth of data. To save or share historical data with your healthcare team or to track beyond the 180 days’, you can use a USB cable to upload to Dexcom Clarity on both Windows and Mac.
In the Reports tab, you can view your Glucose Data Summary for a selected period of time, your average glucose, estimated Glucose Management Indicator (GMI), and time in range.
Further reports and insights on your diabetes trends and patterns are available in your Dexcom Clarity account. And because it’s all available at a glance, you can use it for more informed and efficient conversations with your healthcare team.
