3 components make up the G6 CGM System, including the diabetes sensor, Dexcom G6 transmitter and a display device, such as a smartphone or Dexcom G6 receiver.

What Dexcom components are required with the G6 System?

The three components that make up the Dexcom G6 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System include:

Dexcom Applicator with Built-in Sensor: sensor applicator inserts the diabetes sensor under your skin. The Dexcom sensor measure glucose levels every 5 minutes.
Dexcom Transmitter: sends glucose information from the Dexcom G6 sensor to your compatible display device.*
Display Device: shows your glucose information. Set up the optional Dexcom receiver, the Dexcom G6 app on your smart device or both.* Be sure to check your Dexcom G6 smartphone compatibility.

Dexcom G6 components are not compatible with any previous Dexcom products. Do not mix transmitters, receivers and sensors from different generations.
